Hey Guys,

I have connected a second controller to my system (P12S). Within HLS i set the universes from 13-24 for this second controller. Then when i went into "select output method and compile a show" i setup my protocol as E1.31 and i set unicast 10.10.10.11 (as 10.10.10.10 is already used).

Now this is where i get confused and running into problems. If i have set universes to 13-24 and have set my unicast to 10.10.10.11 for my P12S then if i go and activate universe 13 no ligths come on. How can it, when there are only 12 universes on my P12S, 10.10.10.11?????

Hope this makes sense! Can anyone explain where im going wrong or correct me please.

Cheers

Hey Matt,

Yes, i have set the second controller to IP 10.10.10.11. I can connect to it via this IP. I have also reloaded firmware and the ASIC ahex files also. The test pattern for this controller also works fine. Only when i manually set outputs within HLS doesnt nothing happen. This is why i was heading down the universe data lines.

Any other ideas?

Thanks

no, i cant help you with that unfortunately as i dont use HLS, but is it possible, that you actually set it up as universes 1 - 12, and the within the software, those universes are actually outputed to that unicast address?

Problem solved!
Within HLS as i have mentioned i had universes 1-12 on a P12R and universes 13-24 on a P12S but what i had wrong was within my P12S main setup (10.10.10.11) i still had the universes set to 1-12 where it should have been 13-24 to correspond with HLS 13-24. When i changed it, happy days! now im just setting up speed and RGB configuration for 2811 pixel strips for my mega tree!

thanks for all your help!

cheers
