using video files for animation

As I am looking at moving to LSP, primarily as its the only sequencer which plays and triggers video files (using projector this year as well), I am also wanting to make animations for my planned 2d mega tree, by creating a singing face synced to the music( done seperatly and created as a video file). Can I then just place this into LSP to convert to play on the tree?

2 ways you can import a video

1: using transitions
2: import video it into the matrix animation tool.
