I am interested in cutting down some videos to use in my sequencing and have no software to do it.
What are peoples recommendations for free editing software, I only really want to cut it down and then save a smaller file.
Or maybe make a video from some photos or what have you. Like windows movie maker used to do.
    Anyone know of anything?

here's the list of Software on the wiki
Openshot or Shotcut are probably picks for free software. Corel VideoStudio for reasonably priced software. IMHO

+1 for Corel VideoStudio. It is powerful enough that I use it for MIni video editing, but not so powerful that it has too many menus and buttons to make it confusing. The Pro edition is currently AU$69 with Black Friday 30% off. Ultimate edition is $90 (adds some extra fancy effects and transitions, basically).

Thanks guys, I must admit I am guilty of not even looking at the wiki in some time, I think I must spend some time and look through it again.
I wouldn't mind spending money on something I was going to use a lot, but as I only ever want to cut a videa or fluff around once in a blue moon, I figured there would be something I could get for free.

I would love too as I used to use it, but it hasn't been available for some time and doesn't work on windows 8 or 10
