Wall washing lights

I also deal direct with Ray. I send a detailed email with pictures if possible. He then sends me a quote and I pay through PayPal. The only problem is no security as when purchased through Alibaba!

Quick question along the same lines. My house is small. I need to cover 2 sections of my home, 12 feet wide by 2 2 stories high. Any thoughts about how many floods to use? I was originally thinking 8-10W floods. 2 at the bottom and 2 midway. Both pointing inwards slightly. I could do the strips in the soffet up top. Just don't know which way would give the best coverage.

Thanks

Some great info here. It is now confirmed that this is what I want to add to my display.
I'm thinking of adding 60/m dumb strip under my eaves. Still not sure if I will double them up though!
I'm also thinking of adding some 10w RGB floods to light up some trees.

Anyway thanks everyone for there input!

Cheers

These are just dumb strip and i wouldnt mount them in exposed areas as they are only coated on the top, but work great for under eaves

All I can say, is play! Get a couple of teenagers to hold them while stand on ladder, etc. You stand at your preferred viewing location and have them move them via your instructions. Looks like my colorwash dumb strips will mount on the backside of the conduit that my smart strips are on. I have an electrician buddy coming over to show me an idea he used many years ago for a similar custom lighting track... that allows the "back" (or in this case the dumb) strip to be rotated to change the angle without affecting the position of the "front" strip. He said I will need 2 conduits, one inside the other with slots in the outer one. I think I kinda see where he is going with this. I will shoot photos of final product or drawing... whichever we work out next week. He said he also has an idea for a blocking reflector that can be easily mounted behind the strip to make it "project" a bit more.
