wiring 3 wire rgbs

just got strings of 2811 nodes from ray trying to figure how to wire can someone tell me a way of telling which is dI wire and which one is dO thanks cant tell for sure by looking at the connections inside the waterproofing

The only sure way is to be able to see the markings on the pcb. Can you post a picture and/or a link to the specific pixels.

DC12V WS2811 pixel node,50pcs a string,IP68 rated,epoxy resin filled,with all black wire these are what i have on ray's site

I have some of the same strings.


On the pixel, there is a chip on either side of the pcb. On the side with the smaller chip, where the wires are soldered, with a magnifying glass you can see the markings on the PCB 12V DI GND

Just be sure to check your leds to confirm

I have the same strings, no color wires. I had to look carefully the PCB and follow cables just to be sure what was the + & -. DI is for sure the cable in the middle.
