wiring set up Advatex 16 plug and play

Ok guys I'm as new as they come, this is my first advatex controller, I was wondering if I could get a little help. I recently purchased a advatex 16 plug and play, I also got the male adapters, but I ordered the led strips from Ray Wu. So my question is can someone help me with with wires are to be joined together. I hope this isn't a dumb question, just want to do it right. ....where would the clock be attached to?......please help
Advantek wire colors are :black -clock
Red -12v
White- ground
Yellow -data
Ray Wu setup was ( he emailed me this)
DHL plug DC 12v+ and ground (extra power input)
Red - DC 12v+
Green - DAT
Blue - ground

Some pixel types require a clock signal, but other types don't - it looks like you have the latter type, so you can safely ignore the clock wire from the controller - just isolate it with a heatshrink tubing sleeve to avoid a short circuit.
