So whist preparing for next years light I was setting up a spare J1SYS P12S controller to test out some lights and hooked it up to 12v after setting the controller up for 5v

Is this something I can get a computer repair place to fix or is there no hope now?

Have heard good things about modulerepair.com.au
Could try sending them a few pics and see what they say.

They are so old now that it's probably cheaper to buy one from someone who has one sitting in a drawer somewhere.

The 3.3V regulator (U4) and the 74HCTxx buffer chips will be toast. The main micro may have survived as it's not directly on the 5V line.

If one turns up I’ll probably grab it. I’ve got 4 other boxes set up ready to go and another couple currently being done up
