WS2811 integrated with a 5050

I dont' know if anyone noticed, but Ray is offering a WS2811 integrated with a 5050 for around 15cents each in quantities of 100. For those of us who make our own pixels, I think this may be an interesting development.

He is also offering the 2811 60 LED/M 4 metre strip using those combination LED/2811 LEDs which is the highest LED/M count for a digital strip.

(Note this is not waterproof, Ray can get waterproof versions when requested.)

True, but those don't really help me make my own pixel bulb. One can facet their own bezel, make a mold, and make a base. With these small all in one parts, the base can become reasonable size (small enough). Was making our own with separate led and 2801, but this makes the base become small enough (and the cost is nice).


But I can see if one is making their own strips. Anyway, the integration is a nice development.
