I struggled with this question for over a year and ended up buying an Anet A6. It was good to be able to build it and learn as I went, then struggle with working out how to operate it. After having it for a year or so, I then decided to get a bigger better printer. I got a cr10s. While it was bigger and easier to put together, I still find myself favouring the A6. It just prints better and is more reliable as far as print quality goes. The CR10's biggest upside is how much quieter it is, But still needs some more upgrades to get it to print reliably.
