This happened to me last year in 3D, fortunately this year I had acceptable solutions, next year even better.

Yes. I made my layout with the front of the house parallel to the street, and didn't like how the whole house effects looked on the house sides. In 2021 I tweaked the render buffer camera viewpoint on each effect separately (good that there are not many), in 2022 I rotated the whole layout around Y (with a script). If I had it to do again, I would use a new xLights feature to set the default camera viewpoint on the group.
