New to the hobby and looking for as much good advice and help as I can find!

I've been reading for about a month now to learn as much as I can before asking a thousand different things. I'm almost all the way through the 101 Guide. It looks a couple years old so I wasn't sure how much has changed.

Anyone looking to help out a new guy drop me a line. Some high level guidance of what does what would probably go a long way.

Welcome to ACL, I hope you find all the info you need for an great display. the 101 manual is currently being updated by a few of the members here and will be released in time

Is it too outdated in its current form to be useful? I don’t want to be learning about stuff no longer being used.

The fundamentals don't change so that is still valid and the 101 manual will help you understand how it works and all goes together, what does change is the links and the controller and light offerings
