Those are zip tie or (other fastener holes) to keep it from falling out if you remove the tension?

A topper like that would be fine for mini trees.
But for a mega tree it would cause too much strain on the epoxy blop for the pixel inside of the topper.

The plastic holds it from falling.

Or what if I designed the 3d printed plastic topper to hold the string by the wire and not the epoxy?
Do you still think zip-tying would be the better option?
