I use EMT like you're saying. I have some strong magnets on the frames at the top and some metal washers permanently mounted on the house for them to snap to. For others, I put a D-ring up at the eaves and run a cord from that to the top, which the EMT frame sitting on a ledge or the ground...
Is there a web interface to access the controller you bought? Unfortunately, I don't think any of us have purchased those, so we're just trying to get an idea what you have. If there's a web interface, you might be able to see if it's just running FPP. It seems likely that it would be, given...
What you have probably isn't exactly DMX512, but I'm not familiar with the exact kit you purchased. Can you link it so we can tell exactly what it is?
Assuming you're running FPP, upgrading to a Pi5 won't have any benefit, it will just cost you money you could be spending on lights. A good...
Demented Elf Productions does voiceovers, and they have a partnership with BF Light Shows for sequencing them. It's $125 US for 3 sequences, and they do good work.

I have PEX arches. There are some concerns with them, like trying to get hem all the same curvature and avoiding twist in them. I am actually considering switching to coro arches, but those have a very different look than PEX.
While I have strip in my arches, I would use closely spaced seed...
I meant galvanized steel EMT like this stuff. It won't get brittle, and you can buy steel 90 degree elbows for the corners. You can also buy hangers for it, or it will snap to a magnet if you mount some. There are also screws in the elbows, so you could collapse them down if you need to.
So I want to be clear that there is no easy way to do this. My philosophy is to put as much time and effort as I possibly can into making it easier the next year. Permanent eave lighting definitely falls under that category. I rented a lift and installed all of mine and it's a life-saver. I used...
A friend of mine has done a walk-through of his display for the kids in his neighborhood and they LOVE anything they can do that interacts with the display. He would just pull up a test page on his tablet and select a prop, then let them tap to light it up and change the color, and they were...
On my previous house I used these strips from Boscoyo and used small plastic clips and zipties to hang them. There was no damage, no holes, and everything went up and down fairly easily. The one downside is that it's hard to make them perfectly straight, but I couldn't tell when the lights were...
