Hey All,

So have been playing around with a few different concepts and considering it seems like there’s no one to outsource this to in Sydney, how difficult would something like this be to setup for a complete novice?

The part where I get concern is multiple power injections and how to do all that.

I would consider that a pretty basic install. If you're worried about power injection, you can just run 12V pixels and only run 200 per output from your controller, then you don't need any additional power. You can also simplify power injection by buying pigtails specifically to inject power, so they pass data through but tie in the additional power wires. Other ways to simplify the install include ordering custom strings that are already the length you need.

It's worth noting that all of the things I mentioned are more expensive than soldering in power injection points and making the strings yourself, and this isn't a cheap hobby to start with. So if money is a concern, it may be worth it to work on your soldering skills and learn about DC power injection. If your budget is more flexible than your free time, then the things I mentioned will save a lot of time and simplify the install. It all comes down to your personal situation, and most people fall somewhere in the middle, where they do a combination of purchasing things that make it easier and doing some of the work themselves. Personally, I started making everything myself and maximizing every output port, and lately I do a lot more purchasing things that save me time and complexity because my income/free time ratio has changed significantly.
