Got my two 12V pixel wifi's with WLED preloaded today in the post, and they work brilliantly straight out of the box. @SmartAlecLights has a great product! Very happy with them :)
Have you opened the actual port 5568 in your router and also forwarded that to the ESPixelstick. just having port 80 open and forwarded will only give you the status page, whereas I believe xLights is trying to connect via the E131 protocol, which needs port 5568 as the default.
I'm assuming...
Aaaand I bloody well knew as soon as I posted I would go back to Ray Wu's site and find the right injector part, sometimes there are too many options and you can't see the wood for the trees!
Good afternoon!
Just finished making my leaping arches, and all the testing has worked great, now I can get in and start programming them into my display for this year.
My question is about power injection, I know I'm going to have to do it between every second arch, I've used 13.5mm 4 core...
Oh those look like a good choice! Would be great for me on my verandah, as I could screw them to the back side of the bargeboard and use them for power injection at various spots along the front yard, they are nice and narrow. I tend to have 240V power cables running along there too, so having...
Here is how I wired mine up, I spliced the bottom ends to extend the wiring where it bridges across from one vertical to the next, she runs like a dream.
Ended up doing a single model with all 105 pixels, then created two sub-models within, one for the tree and one for the star. I'm happy with...
Awesome, thanks, will have a bit more of a play to see which one feels more natural, at least I'm glad that I haven't been heading up the wrong path by doing a single model so far!! :)
Just having a play with my extreme lighting display 180 coro trees, I've got the wiring set up, so now its on to having a play in xLights, and build the model for it.
My query is should I be doing a single model for both the vertical strings in the tree and also the star on top, or should I be...
Thanks guys. I was looking at the Esdan stock.... but you pay a fortune for postage to WA. I was tossing up hitting some of the farm supplies stores out of greater Perth, and trying to tie that in with a rescue animal pickup that we often drive out to do! :)
So I have been looking for a local supply of air seeder hose / LDPE, and whilst we have a billion farmers in WA, it seems no one stocks it locally. I have been able to find a PVC reinforced pressure hose that is not quite transparent, so a short test section seems to give a good glow out of it...
Hi all,
Just had a good friend win an auction lot for a massive stack of cabling, various stuff from AV wiring through to Cat3, Cat6 etc, a lot of which he will use in his house build.
He has offered the roll of cat3 to me, and whilst I know its no good for power runs (Its only 24AWG), it...
Hi all!
I'm starting the planning for next years lights, where I hope to be able to start integrating some controllable items within the mix. I know that I will likely still have a bunch of old school static items such as net lights etc.
For those of you running both together, how do you find...
