Kane - I thought I tried that (swapped the outputs and swapped the pixels) and still couldn't get it to work. I even swapped out the controller with no luck. I was on hour 3 of troubleshooting so I probably wasn't thinking straight at that point and had a setting off or something. Thanks for the...
Did some more trouble shooting and started cutting my solder joints and found a bad connection. False alarm on the controller being the issue, thanks for your help guys!
Just got the nECG-DP2 in the mail today. Output 1 is connected to my old 2801 pixels that are on the right half of the matrix, they are working fine. Output 2 is connected to my 2811 pixels on the left hand of the matrix. For the life of me, I cannot get Output 2/2811 pixels to work properly...
It was an LOR issue. I found out when I unplugged the controller from the computer, the test pattern worked fine.
I didn't have all of the universes setup in Network Preferences, so the Comm Listener was interfering with the universes 4-6, 9 11 & 12.
I am hooking the same 2811 strip up to all 12 universes with the test pattern running, and the pattern doesn't work on 4-6, 9 11 & 12 universes, but works fine on the remaining universes.
As you can see, the settings are identical for each universe...
I started this "how to" page last summer, but never completed it. It does have all the images & links to the parts I used: http://www.huntersvillechristmaslights.com/color-washing-with-RGB-LED-strips.html
Attached are two views of how the strips run parallel.
I used strips for my color washing: http://huntersvillechristmaslights.com/
They are 60/m and I doubled them up (ran two side-by-side). I used dumb strips, and if I had to do it over, would use smart strips, as 2811 strips are fairly inexpensive.
Its stuck on the test pattern - all of the dip switches are down, and I have reset it several times. The lights never go off, once it boots up, it goes right into the test pattern
