I am running fpp 2.7 on the beaglebone as it did the job on the HE123. I run the latest version of FPP on the Pi4 master. MAybe a good time to update the BBB. The BBB is powered from 5V, and Alan you might be right. The beagle bone will be running fine and then it would just turn off after a...
Hi all, I am running a He123 as a pixel controller. The beagle bone black keeps turning off after a couple of minutes. It's not a power issue as the light just freeze with what ever they are on and the He123 has lights on. Has anyone experienced the BBB randomly turning off. If so, are there any...
Have you thought about using boscoyo chromatrim or similar ? It would still work with the rhs and a couple of zip ties. Just seems like a lot of work zip tieing every pixel.
Use a Silicon Sleeve. Makes for easy repair if necessary. When i cut the sleeve, either for repair or the end of the prop, a little squirt of clear silicon before heating clear heatshrink around it makes for a waterproof seal.
I used the exact ones and used 5m pixel strip. Mounted the pixel strip to galvanised strapping from bunnings using zip ties. and wrapping the strip in a spiral. works great for mini trees
Hey guys,
I have a pine tree 'wall' that borders my neighbours property. It is roughly 3m high and 10m along. Last year I used a dumb blue led mesh that looked good however I think some of the wires have broken.
This year I am thinking of making a 5m x 2m matrix out of 1000 bullet pixels...
This was my first year. I grabbed a BBB to use with hanson electronics HE123. I was only going to do animation and not to music. But the minister of finance and planning wanted them synchronized to music so I grabbed a Pi4 as well. As Daryl mentioned the BBB will not do audio. I would purchase a...
SO LIGHTS ARE WORKING AGAIN. Lesson learnt! make sure xlights is closed when running lights from the board. Im sure I had multi data sources. Laptop/Pi/BBB. Thanks heaps for the support you guys have given me again. I would be running around circles, pulling hair out or pulling christmas lights...
Ok. so removing the raspberry Pi from the network and resetting the BBB has stopped the lights from 'flashing'. Could you guys please explain how to set up the raspberry pi to be the master and the BBB as a slave device? should the BBB be a slave or bridge? Also i am running xlights on the same...
Thanks guys for the input. will test soon. I did have everything working 2 days ago. To add to the story, I have a Raspberry Pi 4 (with FPP) running as a primary and beaglebone in bridge mode. I tested the beaglebone in 'display testing' and it still happened so i was thinking the Pi 4 was not...
hey Al.
they are not flashing when no sequence is running. they flash when on sequence AND when display testing. So when a pixel is suppose to be 'ón' for sequence or testing it flashes on and off. This applies to all pixels in the display as they run off this board. basically the whole house...
