Just my 5 cents worth .... if you have never made network cables, buy premade. I've made my share at work and at home and I've only used solid copper wires and NOT copper clad. Shielded or Unshielded depends on whether there is any source of interference. I know, not very specific, but it all...
I don't think you can avoid the bunching up at the top - just because. Mine are overlapping some - but at night all lights at the top are visible. So I don't see it as a problem
Don't have seed pixels either. Just 12mm resistor bullets running 12v and had to replace maybe 6 over the last 4 years. 3 did not pass data, 2 that only turned red and one was off but still passed data (strange!) Have close to 10K pixels
Hi all ... tomorrow is Thanksgiving - so HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
I was able to setup all the props and I did take some pics of the strap and hooks on the pine tree that I'm using for my megatree.
Hope this helps someone else
We have a pine tree in our front yard and use it as a mega tree. Our mega tree strips are 150 inches long, so the mega tree is about 14 ft tall and I add a 23 inch star on top of that. I use 2 straps - one for the star, the other for the tree. The star is attached to pvc piping to be able to...
I agree - The arches with the 60/m look fantastic and do love them. This year was the worst; out of the 10, I had to repair 4 and one twice. And each time it was two or more leds that needed to be replaced. Either not sending data correctly or receiving it; and not by a solder joint but in...
I'm tired of repairing my hoops (1 inch PEX) that have 60/m led strips in them. Yes, I know about friends and strips, but the strips were FREE 2 years ago; now they are costing me repair time. So, I was hoping that these see pixels would be a good replacement.
The main question for me would the...
I feel for all new enthusiasts looking for RPIs. I only have 2 PIs, PI4 as the master and a 3b+ for my Tune2 sign with a ColorLite card. All other controllers are BeagleBone and they only went up a few $ instead of doubling. I would try to go the BB route ( just my opinion)
I'm in the states and use 3 server PS. I cut the power cord and after pushing it thru an appropriate sized glad, strip both cut end and use Wago connectors to rejoin them. I'm sure there are many other ways to reconnect, but that to me seemed fast and no mess.
