Well, just to stir the pot a little. I appreciate all you guys have done to make fpp and xlights what they are. I could never have done this on my own. Seeing how much money I waste on chocolate and pop, if I need to pay a little for the program it’s totally worth it to me. And, unless I miss my...
Yeah, first off just make sure it’s labeled correct. put the correct end as a start. Then similar to a comment made above I wired one of my arch’s backwards as well, and so what I did was make a sub model and started with the last pixel, putting it first and making this a model from there and...
you put the different submodels into a group then apply it to that group. but if you do it, as pixel, the entire submodel will light up not just individual pixels that the twinkle effect does.. You’ll have to do per model default, or per preview and if every submodel is in a group it’ll treat...
Thanks for the help. I did figure out how to run the effects through fpp. Looks like wled effects are built right into it through overlay models. Way to go fpp team.
I know I can do certain effects through fpp using the test feature it just seems like there is more built into WLED. I can also just build the affect using xlights and put them onto fpp. But my family knows how to use WLED and I don’t really want them touching FPP. I mess it up enough on my own...
Thanks for reading. I’ve got 4 nodemcu’s running my permanent lights. It was my first attempt at using pixels and loved doing it. But want to upgrade to something better. I would like to buy a kulp K8 controller to run them then that would give me room to expand my Christmas show. But during the...
I finally fixed it. I had to cut another pixel off of the first section. That star had two lights on it that were just staying on during setup and wouldn’t change colors while testing out sequences. So they both must have gone bad and been next to each other. I just don’t understand why it would...
I’ve got a strange situation I’m hoping someone has some insight on. I have a 100 count star that the last thirteen pixels went out on. I changed the last good and first bad pixel but they still are not working. So I hooked up the 13 non working pixels to a pixel tester and they worked fine. I...
Just use a window frame model then you can set where the data goes into and out of each window. But if you use poly line you will make a line for each section with lights and each section with a wire extension. You can even do that if you have to double back over a lighted section. Then set the...
I’m having a similar problem on my boscoyo ice princess flake. For me it’s a bad pixel. The way I found it was to find the last pixel that was lighting up before the frozen pixels. I just flicked that pixel and they all light back up. Just trace the wires on the back till you get to where the...
