I looked at using icicles but the wiring would be a little messy. I’m not worried about building it. I’m just going to build it like I built my window matrices this year. I used a pvc frame with hardware cloth. I really like how it turned out. Also makes it easy to replace bad pixels because...
Having a hard time finding a better picture but on the left side is my garage. Both sides of it have a brick facade that goes up to the roofline. I want to do a seed pixel matrix over both sections next year(2026). I know I can easily just do a rectangle matrix but I would like to go all the way...
Well, that might clear a few things up because I was very confused. I’ve already replaced one pixel in it and it didn’t cause that to happen so maybe that’s why that particular joint worked. OK so to make sure I’m understanding this correctly. I am positive at all those joints I have the primary...
Hello everyone. I built three matrices for my windows with seed pixels. They are all exactly the same except that one is traditional three wire pixels and two use WS2818 dual signal seed pixels. As part of building the matrix I wanted to keep the 2” spacing so I cut out a node at the top then...
I hadn’t thought of a splitter. Good idea. Honestly I just wanted to practice my soldering skills and try to fix it. I get a kick out of learning that kind of stuff.
Hello everyone. Hope your Halloween shows are going strong. I have a differential receiver that has a bad network/ethernet/RJ45 port. It’s not a big deal because the other one works fine. I think it just got corroded in storage. I’ll make sure to add a little dielectric grease to the pins this...
Well, just to stir the pot a little. I appreciate all you guys have done to make fpp and xlights what they are. I could never have done this on my own. Seeing how much money I waste on chocolate and pop, if I need to pay a little for the program it’s totally worth it to me. And, unless I miss my...
Yeah, first off just make sure it’s labeled correct. put the correct end as a start. Then similar to a comment made above I wired one of my arch’s backwards as well, and so what I did was make a sub model and started with the last pixel, putting it first and making this a model from there and...
you put the different submodels into a group then apply it to that group. but if you do it, as pixel, the entire submodel will light up not just individual pixels that the twinkle effect does.. You’ll have to do per model default, or per preview and if every submodel is in a group it’ll treat...
Thanks for the help. I did figure out how to run the effects through fpp. Looks like wled effects are built right into it through overlay models. Way to go fpp team.
I know I can do certain effects through fpp using the test feature it just seems like there is more built into WLED. I can also just build the affect using xlights and put them onto fpp. But my family knows how to use WLED and I don’t really want them touching FPP. I mess it up enough on my own...
