Starting Early for A Great Show

The Mega will have 32 strands. I am using WS2811's modified to 7 Meters to accommodate my 20ft tree. If I get it all figured out the two 10 footers will get smart pixels also. I have the 20 footer set up in the yard now doing a dry run so I have no surprises come November. I have a lot to learn...

Starting Early for A Great Show

I contracted the deadly disease of CLAP about 5 years ago with my 4 channel Mr. Christmas and since I have taught myself to solder, program, sequence and most of all take advantage of the wealth of information that is put out there by ACL and the likes. This year I will introduce 3 new mega...

Pixels and Traditional lighting in Paralell

Thanks the Serial and Ethernet ports make sense. I was trying to figure out how I was going to do two protocols out of one port. I have downloaded a Vixen 3 and checking it out. I have used vixen for the past 3 years. I am also looking at xLights.

Pixels and Traditional lighting in Paralell

I have several Renard SS24's that I have built and want to continue to run incandescent lights on a part of my display and want to run pixels on a mega tree. Can I run this show on one show computer and if so what would the configuration look like? Has anyone posted a diagram of an existing...

Ok I went to the page followed the prompts and got an error and no animation. On speed do we type 50 or 50ms. Perhaps you could look at my selections or perhaps capture a screenshot of what a finish selection form should look like. also can we delete a stored file?

    GELE vs Pixels

Not playing favorites but (okay. I am) when it comes to pixels this sight rocks. I really appreciate the time each person takes to offer sound advice. I have gained a wealth of info here and feel like i can handle something that scared the bejesus out of me just a few weeks ago. I am looking so...

    GELE vs Pixels

Ok, thanks for the input, does any one see a problem with adding onto these strings I need a total of 9 meters and these are only 5. I understand that I would have to waterproof my solder joints perhaps by using some clear 5200 marine silicone. Will this be to long of a span to keep proper power...

    GELE vs Pixels

I am getting ready to invest some serious moula in pixels and I have read a lot on this forum about ge color effects and what seems to be very reasonable prices and abilitities, with that being said would it be advantageous to pick some of these up,and utilize them even if I have to bridge some...

So I'm Convinced on RGB Now What?

Due to my limited knowledge let's assume pixel rgb as i can make pixel rgb dumb however i can not make dumb into controllable RGB. If i'm going to fall in love with something I don't want regrets later. So if budget is considered and I buy dumb now and change to pixels later I have to either...
