Hey all,

So I have two big P6.67 matrixes, each 960mm by 960mm for a total of 144x144 pixels. The plan is to run the two side by side.

At a guess they weigh 20-30kg each (45-66lbs) due to the decent metal frame they have.
I want to mount them here- basically in front of the hand rail, with the bottom level with the floor of the porch

The question is the best way to mount them. As you can see the ground below is not stable/level so feet type arrangement wouldn't work. From the 135 degree corner in the left to the edge of the right pillar is around 2.2m, so I have around 280mm to play with.
The panels themselves are around 90mm from the back of the frame to the front LED surface.

I am thinking of mounting a decent piece of timber to the front of the house - like this - https://www.bunnings.com.au/200-x-100mm-2-4m-treated-pine-sleeper-cca-h4_p8032715 - to operate as a shelf.

It would basically start on the right hand edge here and go 2m towards the angled section. It would be done with the 100mm edge up, and the 200mm face along the wall.
I believe most of the front face there is brick. So use some large dynabolts or masonry anchors (https://www.bunnings.com.au/ramset-12-x-150mm-galvanised-ankascrew-masonry-anchor_p2260300)

I am thinking to drill four locator holes for the nodes that are on the top. They can be unscrewed and put on the bottom. This would prevent the panels from sliding.
They can also be cable tied or otherwise attached to the handrail to prevent them toppling (onto the car that parks there) in any wind.

Thoughts?
Suggestions?
Better ways of doing it?

Cheers
Mike.

How thick is the panel?
Is the timber acting as a ledge for the screen to sit on?
Thinking a 3mm gal angle bolted in a similar fashion be a little less obtrusive looks wise

I was thinking more along the lines of a 5mm steel angle, but anything at that depth is very pricey $$$$
The brackets you linked would work too.
If you wanted to remove the brackets at year end you could chemset threaded rod into the brick.
I find dynabolts arnt too great for re-use after re-use

I would make a wood base for it. Think along the lines for a very short stub wall for the panel to sit on and take the weight of the matrix. The wood base can easily be adjust for variation of the ground. The rest is just securing it so it will not fall over and crush your small dogs or children.

why not just hooks that could hang off the hand rail
I got some flat steel from Bunnings and bent them into a "U" shape and attached them to my screen and hung it off a steel frame to raise above my graden
