Purchased Sequences Issues

Hey fellas. This year was my first year at dipping my toes in the pixel lighting scene. I’ve started off just with a mega tree which is all set up and been using every day since the start of December. When it come to the sequencing part of it this is where I have really struggled to find time to invest in it.

So basically, I have purchased a few different sequences online and I have tried to set them up In x lights to suit my mega tree, but when turned onto the actual tree the sequences do not look very good at all.

I have noticed a fair few of the sequence I bought a set up for strands of 100 or 50, where as my tree is 75 lights per strip at 2 inch spacing. Is there something I need to do when importing the sequences to x lights to make them suit my personal tree? I will spend more time on all of this next year, as this year I have obviously run out of time. My daughter is however requesting me to set up the tree tomorrow to work with music so if anyone can assist me here to get a basic show going with paid sequences just so I can show her the tree working it would be greatly appreciated

Hey Conner. How confident are you that the tree is 100% setup correctly in xlights? If you put a bars effect on it in xlights -- do the lights travel across the tree in the same way that they do on your screen?

The xlights around Australia song this year (You're the Voice) seems to have a pretty good/standalone tree effect -- that might be a good free one to start with. But I'd check the bars effect first.

(Also - welcome to ACL. Where in Vic are you?)

Turns out your right, guess now I gotta figure out the correct layout fml haha

Ok so I’ve figured out my problem only thing is I’m unsure how to fix it other than waiting to pull the lights down and swap the strips over. I have 6 strings (300 each)

These are plugged in starting left side port 1-6

All run forwards EXCEPT port 5 it runs reverse.

Is there any way to correct this or just wait till tomorrow to swap them over ?
 
There’s a location map on ACL that has people’s displays listed. (I’m in Endeavour Hills). Lights are still going tomorrow night if you wanted to come round for a behind the scenes tour.

(And list your place for next year)
