1 prop not working correctly - need help

OK, the cable could be bad. A little bit bad. If only one of the 4 pairs is bad / poor connection, you'll only get flickering on one port of the smart receiver. If it's the last receiver in the chain, the others won't be affected either. So that would cause problems on just one port of one SR.
Thank you for all your help! I will try to swap out the pigtail on this port. However, I'm skeptical this is the issue since it works correctly when I hit the test button on the SR. I thought maybe swap out the network cable but everything else is working including B and C as this is on A.

I'll try swapping out the SR as well. I have some newer model SRs but I assume they'll work with the older ones.

I agree that it is probably not the pigtail... the diff (network) cable with the 4 pairs is the cable I meant also.
As it is not required that A be first in the chain, it wasn't obvious that this would be ruled out by the other receivers working.

i spent what felt like a life time one year wondering and checking and double checking why one prop just didn't look or work right
as it happens it was the last prop on that port and the prop before it had the wrong number of pixels entered 😕
worth a check

Thanks for the input. I've thought about this too but I can't find a smoking gun. I have one situation where I have a "roof top" prop with 127 pixels physically but the last one isn't in use so I set the total number to 126 in xlights. Thought this might be a problem so switched it to 127 and had the same issue. This prop is on 1B so I didn't think it would affect my bad prop on 7A. Could it? But like I said, I tried change that number and didn't have a change in results.

One other thing I tried was to remove all props on my setup in xlights before the bad one. So remove all props on port 1-6 and let my prop on 7A be the first of any. Still get the issue with this test. Scratching my head for sure.
