can you share the link at 20 cent a pce ?? i cannot find cheaper than 30 ..thanks

Just remember that ordering through aliexpress does provide you some buyer protection. Ray does not get paid until you accept the shipment and I'm sure they handle conflict resolution. When I got my direct quote from Ray I still had him list it on aliexpress to make sure I had the buyer protection even though I could have just paid him direct. I ordered 64 strings and had 4 that tested with issues and Ray sent replacements out fairly quickly. I felt a little better having gone through aliexpress since it put a little more pressure on him to get the replacements out. He automatically extended the time for accepting the shipment so I accepted it as soon as the replacements arrived.

I think most of the OP's confusion came from simply taking the single string price + postage and multiplying that by the number of strings he wanted.

Unless the seller is using "fixed rate" (for example up to 2kg for $20) boxes, freight almost never works that way in reality.

There is a fixed base price + a per kilo price. That's why it often costs only a little more to get twice as many items.

You will also find that you will pay extra as all payments are in $USD. Exchange rates vary on a daily basis and do not forget that the banks will charge you an exchange fee.

Nice find.
Tell me, are there C9 caps available for these type of pixels?

Also, i am thinking these are perfect (strings) for the roof line, but i see so many people switching to LED strips instead. I suppose i should ask in a different thread but is there any big advantage over one or the other ... strings vs. strips?

thanks for the link!

Personally i find strip is better for outlines for a few reasons.
1: The light is directional and towards the audience
2: Minimises light wash so allows floods to be used as well to give additional effects like the outline being one colour and the walls being another
3: easy to mount onto conduit to then easiliy install, remove and store and allow for clean straight lines
4: Higher light density per metre compared to strings
5: Less water ingress issues
6: If using 12vdc strip than less voltage drop issues to contend with

But everyone has their own opinions

I've ordered from Ray several times and find that typically if you are ordering one "product" from him, you can utilize the allibabba website and it comes out pretty darn close to what his quote would be unless you are ordering BULK items where he will give you a break on product cost. The main savings on shipping comes with you add multiple items to your cart for purchase. Allibabba doesn't do a good job with multiple different types of products as far as shipping goes.

Duane is so correct here. I order a whole heap of different products directly from Ray. Calculated the shipping cost on alibaba for all products I wanted, including numbers and the total shipping would have been $125USD, Ray's charge for this was $48. I had ordered 2 power supplies, 6 RBG strips, 40 pigtails (80 in total M&F), 10 T type pigtails, 4 sets of RGB Modules & 4 sets of pixels. & 5 RGB Meteor lights in tubes (500mm) $77USD in savings is huge.
