12v DC 1 amp power supplies

Looks like work is going to throw out 100-200 of these brand new power supplies and I was wondering if anyone here had a use for them or are they too low powered.

I work in Brisbane. I don't mind mailing btw. It seems like such a waste to see half a pallet of those dropped in an industrial bin. I still have to get them to give them to me though. They don't weigh much.

Excuse my inexperince but what could you power with a 1amp power supply.

Wish I was down there. Today I purchased a replacement FM transmitter which needs an antenna and a power supply. 12v - 1.0A.
