My 1st post to the 1st thread...
AND my first post that includes a picture (if I get it right)...
AND my first day working in the yard on the future 21 foot tall 360 mega tree...
AND first time using my son as a measuring stick for the foundation/base hole...
AND...

possibly the first post with a picture with two subset pictures in the same single shot (as opposed to 3 separate pictures)...

Assuming that your first mega tree will be a permanent installation but the looks of things.
 
Permanent or become my 1st flag pole :), yes planning for permanent mega tree location (spent 7 months considering different spots around the yard) - that hole was 4 foot deep with 16" diameter. The way road curves and then straighten - should be able to see tree from 1.5 miles away as people drive. Ultimate is to have another on the opposite end of the property in another year or two (that would be 2nd, not first :D )
 
Mararunr looks like you have a perfect yard for lights. Heaps of grass area, heaps of house area and heaps of roof area. Love the safety boots too. I thought they were only standard issue in Australia.

First to ask you, mararunr..... do your new neighbours realise what will happen to them next December ?

1st to point out your neighbors should be paying an extra $10K on their hones for the great Christmas display they will not need to drive anywhere to view. :)
