I just realised that these wont run WS2801 lights. Do you still intend to produce these?

The don't run 2811 or 2801 pixels. What they do is connect into a 2811 pixel line and allow you to control some dumb dc elements. It saves on having to run a dmx network is the main thing. I have a 2801 version of the 2 boards under way.

Thanks, that's exactly what I meant. I know your focus is on the ws2811 version, but any idea when the 2801 might be available?

This has been mentioned already, but I reiterate:

The boards left China yesterday and I hope to have them in my hot little hands to show at the Melbourne Mini on Saturday.

They missed turning up for the Melbourne mini by a day (well 2 days as I was only down there for the Saturday). Apparently it takes 5 days to make the 160km journey from Melbourne to Bendigo.

Boards are here and ready for shipping. New thread will be open soon with all the details on it.

Paid....

Thanks Alan, Much appreciated. Dont worry about posting it, I will get it from you in RAdelaide! Now I just have to incorporate 2811 into my display somehow this year.

Hopefully all the others have paid now, cause if they haven't, I may want another one or two of the ones you have set aside for them.... hmmmmmmmmmm. pixels and floods... The wife is going to hate me!!!!! (and so will the neighbours)

Got my brand new 2811DC30 mounted. Haven't got to test yet. I have a honey-do list to take care of today.

Thanks Alan

Mines going to run a 6 channel star on top of the pixel tree. I was going to do Led, but decided to do RGB once these things came out. My last universe on the pixel tree is channel 360. I'm just going to tack on the 18 channels from there. I'm only using 6 of the 10 outputs, but can do something with the other 4. By the way, the board fits in a CG500 with a backing board of some sort. I had 2 and didn't have anything to put in them, so I just bolted the 2 back to back and going to put the PS in the back one.

Trying to understand correct powering of BigW lights and 2811DC15. I am planning to run ws2811 12v pixels then onto 2811DC15 which will run BigW lights discussed here. Reading the manual for the 2811DC15 suggests powering the board in the range of 5v to 25v. I need to understand correct wiring as the lights will need a power supply around 30v. I've looked at the manual and Alan's drawing in regard to powering, but I'm still a little confused. First timer and trying to use the wealth of knowledge at ACL to get things right.
