I'm looking for opinions for 3d printing controller cases. I've been using Claude to design a case for my digiquad with a 150W PSU and am pretty happy with the result.

I'm still waiting on the fan for each end. Once it's complete I have external baffles to improve the water ingress situation.

This prototype is PLA, I was going to print in PETG or ASA.

This is the kind of thing that would be really great to make a parametric generator for, similar to the gridfinity ecosystem. If you could allow people to choose the dimensions of the box, then what power supply and board go in it, then the number and size of glands and the option for vents/fans and allow them to place them, I would think a lot of people would be interested in using it. A lot of people in this hobby 3D print, and being able to easily create a custom enclosure would be really useful.

Great. Now I'm looking into a project I don't have time for. lol

It's done with .scad files, so it's parameterized, but not to the level of selecting a PSU etc.

Claude is remarkably good at manipulating these files. I can use prompts such as "switch to 80mm fans" and it'll check there are no collisions.
