The timers are rated at 10A 2400W max so I would expect they should handle the load. It also mentions it is a two pole switch. I can't really complain I think this is the 3rd year of service for the timers and only 1 failure so it is worth it for me.
I did give it a hard whack on my leg and on the table and the timer appears to be working again now, however, I will just keep it aside and mark it as spare intermittent and if I am desperate I can use it.
