I just sent this image to my wife. I think she's a bit scared now. But I'm happy. The big e lights started appearing today. They aren't all out yet. But looks like the colour choices are white, blue and multicolour. I leave the experts to assess the quality of them. But thought if let you all know, in case you've been waiting like me.

Just a few I took photos of.
The strings look like they'll come with choice of clear or dark wire too.

Well I'm off to start planning and setting up.

Nothing at BigW Mt Hutton. Got the Mrs to check while she was there today. I need 1 each of white and blue icicle to extend my setup a little from last year. I came up about 1.5 mtr short last year. Nobody commented but it drove me nuts!

Heh. We noticed all the puddings coming out at Coles yesterday, then thought.. gee only 3 months til Christmas.


I really need to start putting my display together because that time will go quickly. I managed to clear out a lot of last year's strings on Boxing Day. Still don't know what I'm going to do with them

The mother in law works at Big W Gawler and brought home some Icicle lights, at this stage she said its only one row of shelfs, I have not had the chance to head out and have a look as yet.


Will be interesting to see the full range this year.

I found some 6m Candy cane rope light at bunnings in NZ and oddly they were $9.95 each whilst I saw them here at bunnings on the Goldcoast for $29.

Don't like the chances of there being separate colours like they used to do.

On Sunday, I noticed Bunnings range included green and pink strings, didn't find red. There were several high density short strings (~ 2m) waterfall lights and cherry trees.


I didn't buy anything - I'm fairly well set for this year's display.

I noticed the power cable has gone from 5 metres the previous year to 3 this year.

disappointed in what they have this year, only blue, white and multicoloured. no green, no red, no warm white, no pink. Shelves are full of lights though.
