Hello! I recently bought some Christmas lights and they came with that annoying 8 function led controller that almost everyone hates. Is there a posibility to bypass it and make the lights be always steady on?
This is how the pcb inside the controller looks. There are 2 wires going to 1st and 2nd contact points ( going from left to right) and one wire going to pins 0,3 and 2.

Many thanks in advance.

That's not a type I've seen before. Are there 5 wires going to the lights?

Are two of the wires coming from a power pack or directly to 110V / 240V ?

Yes, there are 5 wires going to the lights and 2 are the main 240v AC power in. So 7 wires in total.

My best guess (without having physical access) is that you need to join the three solder pads indicated by the yellow arrows.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will try it later if nobody else comes with another alternative.

I looked up again closer to the light strings and I found that 4 out of the 5 wires run in paralel to the led string, (2 of which are only for forward power to another string for extentsion purposes) and the leds are wired in series with the wire connected to pin 2.
