    hey guys,

After 7 trusty years on my 240v LOR, one of my reindeers is done

I want the exact same one.

It looks exactly like this one.

But I just want to know if anyone here can 100% tell me whether it will be able to fade up and down like my old one?

When Ive replaced others, they havent worked sometimes. Even though some look identical, I think some have been updated internally as technology has got better, which is not always good for LOR.

    Thanks for your time.

Most of the new power supplies that come with light sets are the switchmode type. Do not attempt to dim these. Even the older (heavy) iron core transformers were never meant for dimming but most tolerated it to some extent.

Do you have any pixels in your display as yet? You could always strip off the existing ropelight and replace with another type of light (pixels or even another ropelight)
