I’ve realised something important in this hobby… I don’t just enjoy the lights — I really enjoy building controller boxes 😅

So I reckon it’s time for a show-and-tell thread where everyone shows off their controller box builds.

Neat wiring?
Over-engineered mounts?
Cable management so good it deserves its own applause?
Or a box that technically works and is held together by zip ties and optimism?

No judgement here — if it powers pixels, it belongs in this thread.

Post photos, specs, lessons learned, and any “I’ll fix that next year” sections.
Bonus points for labelled wiring and lids that almost close.

Let’s see what’s hiding behind the weatherproof enclosures 🔌✨

First box:
Baldrick 17
2x Meanwell LRS 350-12
1x Hanson Power 8 distribution board
1x Shelly pm
1x momentary switch to manually turn the box on
1x 50x15 radial fan

Second box:
Network box
1x pi 4 4gb running fpp in proxy
1x 5 port network switch
1x sound blaster
1x Shelly pm
1x lrs50-5
1x external wifi reciver

Have already out grown this will be upgraded to a larger box with a bigger network switch.

Silly question, but those yellow connectors which go into the bald Rick power input, what are they called and where do you get them? I have found yellow connectors which take the larger wire garage, but have only found spade connectors which can’t be used in the power input terminals. The bullet type of connectors in Bunnings and jay at only take a much smaller wire gauge.

I must apologize.... mine is a complete mess at the moment... this is my main unit.

And i may have accidentally pulled the black cable above the P12s with the Garage Roller Door, pulling my fuse rail down to one side.

Ferrules? I just got mine in a bundle off Amazon...

You'll also need a crimping tool for them..
