I want to cut out the 8 function controller on some LED fairy lights so they become static lights and was hoping someone out there was able to advise if it is possible and if it so how I could do it as I have a few ideas for new displays but am having trouble finding LED fairy lights that are Static

Thanks in advance

if you plan on still using the ac adapters on them then you will need to keep the controllers, and to make them static some cutting open the controller and a bit of soldering is needed so you bridge all the seperate elements of the string together making the whole string one effective string.

the other way is to go DC control and you can cut the controller off altogether, then you will need to find out how much voltage the string needs to run

Most of the light strings I haves modded for people have one common wire ( pos) and channel wires (neg)

You can try on of theses two methods,

1. Open up the case and follow the wires/traces back to the channel SCRs

2. Cut off the box, and use a variable volt power supply, try all the combinations till you find the common and chn wires

If the string is 24 vac, u can use 24 VDC safely.
