I bought a set (4) of these 160cm candy canes which arrived today. A few minutes work saw the MFC removed and one of them hooked up to my DC power supply to see what voltage they could run from.
Running them on 30V DC gave them the same brightness as the original 24V AC plug pack and MFC. It seems that they could be run at up to 33-34V for increased brightness, but since I run my Big W strings at 30V I'm happy with that.
I then added some Big W plugs (kindly supplied by another member) and made up a wiring harness so that i can deploy them easily each year.
Anyway, I thought I'd post in case anyone else was looking at these and wanted to incorporate them into their display.
