Extend cable on CCR

Howdy.
Anyone attempted to extend the cable on a CCR? What is the best approach?

The connector on a CCR is not easily obtainable, so simply splicing in some extra wire of similar gauge is one way.

There will be a limit how far you can extend it though. Maybe a few metres max.

I have extended the CCR lead to about 5 metres in length and it still works, so you do have the ability to get an extra couple of metres between the CCR strip and the controller.

I just cut the plug off and rejoined it on the end of the extension
