would the falcon controller f16v5 or light o Rama controller be better for a light show? Just starting out and seen a few options but wasn’t sure which is best

Assuming you're driving led lights, the falcon controller can do all the Light o rama controller can do and more (except drive mains powered things directly), they're probably cheaper too.

Some discussion here on the benefits of "Non-LoR" setup :)

I was looking for a ready to run controller and wanted to use both traditional lights and pixel lights would falcon still be the best option?

Do they make LOR gear to Australian standards (240V/plugs/etc?). I assume they must support it - I think there are a few people running LOR. I don’t recommend it though.

There is https://www.hansonelectronics.com.au/product/dmx2-24rtr/ that can drive a bunch of fairly lights. That might be a better option for those - but you would also need something to drive pixels.

Traditional lights, assuming Bunnings lights, won't work on light o Rama equipment, the low voltage power supply units can't be dimmed, or powered on/off very quickly.
The post above this one should help there.

Also a newbie so I went for the Baldrick ready to run system from Alan at Hanson Electronics.
What I know you could write on the back of a postage stamp so perhaps Alan could explain the pros and cons of Baldrick?

I have nothing but LOR equipment. CMB16 D controllers for single coloured 12 Volt LEDs, CMB24D for 12 Volt dumb RGB LEDs. Pixie16 for 12 volt Pixel Nodes and a few 12 volt Cosmic colour Ribbons.
All my controllers have be purchased second hand from people here and they work well for what I want to do.
If you go the way of pixels only and you are going to grow (and most people do) I would suggest the F16v5 (or similar) over the LOR units as they are generally cheaper and you can use them over a E1.31 network - which is the way most people go now a days.
