There's only a few of us at the moment and i would like to make this forum as easy to use and friendly as possible.

To that end i welcome comments, observations and improvements.
what's wrong
what's missing
what needs improving

I may not be able to fix everything, but we are around the bbq so speak up.

I have had the anti-spam measure pointed out as being a little hard, after looking at the defaults i called it obnoxious and changed it. It's still there but should only bug you on the first post and is easier to read.
Thank-you for pointing it out, as administrator i had never seen it.

Cheers
Phil

Good move, i didnt like the anti spam measures that were in place, i find it annoying to have to copy letters that are sometimes hard to read

I think the biggest issue with the sercurity code is it looks like letters are caps but you enter in lowercase. Took me a couple of tries to get it.

Are you going to put any info up on the forum about the rgb LED's and ribbon cable you are soldering together for the megatree?

Phil, you could add an acronym thread for newbies entering into the DIY world ... or have a roll over type thing that tells the reader exactly what the acronym means ...

My new one for today was SMF = Simple Machines Forum :D

Maybe it is there and I just don't see it, but it would be cool to have an RSS feed for the forum.

also, is it possible for you to set up some user definable groups; I suggest LOR being one.. Then users can choose to subscribe to that group, and see those messages

Maybe you should be forced to read it Alec, just to appreciate the "finer things in life" :D

I do agree about the selectable sections though

Are we talking about Forum posts or Chat channels?
If it is Forum Posts, then that would then detract from ACL being "All things to All people"
Or are you ultimately suggesting LOR should be a lesser group?

Personally, I think that is what the "Mark all Read" key is for.
