FYI Enttec Open DMX

Just as an FYI, if you are going to follow this http://www.lightuplawrence.net/Home/how-to-1/rgb-dmx-wiring write-up on soldering a connector to the Enttec Open DMX device...it wont work unless you have a VERY fine soldering tip. They have changed their connector on the board side and pin 2 is BEHIND everything and very difficult to get to. I have ordered a 5-pin to 3-pin connector, but in the mean time...I just soldered the ends of a Ray Wu 2 wire waterproof connector and stuck them in pins 2 and 3. Not secure, but it works. You would THINK that with Enttec knowing this device is used in many different ways they would place a solder pad on the inside to get to...

Ummmm... what about just doing it the obvious way of wiring the pigtail into a 5 pin male XLR ?

COME ONE MAN...I can't make something like THAT easy...LOL...I actually just looked over that option...which is what I just did...I just really REALLY wanted to use the 3-pin DMX connectors I had...
