Found the right guy to have the hardware. If he would behave a bit more it would help.
Great videos for any hardware. As this is geared directly toward the J1 hardware, this shows the steps in really any hardware that should be taken for setup. Great work Andy.

Ed its been a ton of fun shooting these videos. The boards are so well made they make it easy. You keep making them and I will keep hooking them up on camera. The D2 video is done as well. I just need to find the time to edit it and upload. Looking forward to the release of the XCG-X2A. Great work!

William, what you talkin bout? I always behave ;) HaHa if you could only see the bloopers reel of what didnt make it into the videos. Then you would really be laughing.

I also wanted to add a post by Eddy on power that I think will be helpful for those needing help doing the math on powering strings/strips from the board......

The ECG-P12R has 7.5 amp fuses for each output and each main bank has a 30 amp fuse, so that means you could safely run 20 12vdc 30 LED/M strips through a P12R (10 on each bank). 7.2 Watts/m @ 5v = 1.44 amps/m

5vdc 2811 strip 60 sections/m Strip
14.4 Watts/m @ 5v = 2.88 amps/m

12vdc 2811 String of 50
(0.3 Watts * 50) @ 12vdc = 1.25 amps per 50 strings
*Note refer to this thread to see the differences between 5vdc and 12vdc strings

5vdc 2811 String of 50
(0.3 Watts * 50) @ 12vdc = 3 amps per 50 string

So it depends on what you decide to use will determine how many can be connected to an output of a P12R to stay below the current limits of the individual outputs and P12R board. Power supply loads need to be considered

Andy,

Great job with the video's and thanks for taking my calls for help. With video's like this more will start to installed pixels as many are scared of making a mistake on the wiring. The p12r video hits just right for me Sir.
