Welcome to ACL and welcome to the addiction.

There are 3 main ways you can go

1: buy a plug and play system - Higher cost higher quality, minimal time investment
2: Learn DIY - Lower cost and quality but much higher time investment
3: Start with a plug and play system and expand from there if you want to invest the time learning DIY in the future.

Now you just need to decide which way you want to go and what value you put on your time and capability

There are also other choices than just LOR when it comes to plug and play

You'll be able to control the multicolour strings as red+green on together and/or yellow+green on together using 2 channels of a DC controller. This assumes Big W strings.
