In my opinion, LOR is the easiest way to get started. It is a straight forward setup etc. I have been using LOR 4 years now and I'm very happy with it. I now have 2 standard 16 channel controllers and 6 Color Cosmic Ribbons. Setup is easy, programming (sequencing) is as easy as it gets. With that said, if you have a basic understanding of DMX you may want to go the DIY route. You have a very good supplier of controllers local to you there. Local source alone would save you $$ on shipping. DYI is also cheaper on cost per channel of controlled lights. Read the manual (several times :) ), ask lots questions (there are no dumb questions here), start out slow the first year. Once you get a general idea of how you want your display to go in the future, then start buying lots of controllers etc. Hope this helps. [/QUOTE]

The title of our introductory lighting manual contains a three digit number. What is that number? Clue: Display basics forum
