I've heard about how you can reproduce certain white colors with RGB. I wanted to do this http://www.amazon.com/SHOOTING-STAR-HOLIDAY-LIGHT-BULBS/dp/B005A62U5C in my show this year, it will be this color 75% of the time but I figured if I can make it RGB I mine as well. If I can reproduce this effect with pixels I'll do it in pixels, if not I might do 2 runs of lights 1 warm white and the other RGB pixels.
I found some links to explain what I mean.
http://www.improvementscatalog.com/RoomForImprovements/bright-vs-warm-white-christmas-lights/ the color with the presents, more yellowish is what I want.
I found this talking about the various colors of white and recreating them in RGB. http://planetpixelemporium.com/tutorialpages/light.html It looks like it could be helpful.
