I finished the latest addition of the Halloween Haunt Ipswich Walk Thru, this guy is activated to start it's sequence when people turn the corner in the walk thru. He is placed in a toy room with a couple other little freaky girls playing, Hence the dolls in the soundtrack as well.
It is pneumatic operated with 2 rams. 1 for the lid and one for the scissor mech that lifts the clown.
It is run by a Raspberry Pi connected to a relay board via the GPIO pins.

Looking Forward to freaking out some Mums with this one.

Love it.
Although I am not into Halloween, I sometimes wish I was because I do love the different things that you can do.
I also worry about the storage, I don't have enough room for my xmas props, you must have a whole village dedicated to storing your stuff

Oh man, that's evil with the soundtrack! Pretty sure I'd be screaming louder than the kids seeing that one.
