Kmart $5 Cool White 100 LED

In the gardening section of Kmart, I found Gardeners Choice 100 Cool White LED strings for $5 each.

• 36VDC transformer plug pack
• First Bulb to last Bulb Distance between blubs: 8cm

 

Awesome. Was it a one off, or were there a few there?

 

There was an entire shelf of them. It was the Kmart house brand for the gardening stuff, so my guess is it's an ongoing thing.

Have you by any chance tested these with any DC controllers? Did they have any other colours?

 

Only White and I haven't tested yet. I think the transformer spec the usual 24VAC, so ~30VDC should do the trick.
