I have a dim channel on my board. The out put should be 27 volts, but it is 24.
Am I correct in assuming that it's the optocoupler (?) You know - that 3 legged component that runs along the edge of the board and it needs to be replaced ?

The 3 legged device is the MOSFET. It's usually what goes bad after a channel has had a short (even briefly) on it.

Thanks for the correct terminology David.
So I have really have nothing to loose by replacing it.
I will either fix it, or it wont work at all if I muck it up.
Any suggestions on the soldering iron temp to perform this operation ?

Thank you. I was concerned I'd be too hot.
I have been running 420 for my 4mm wire joins and probably would have run with that.
Don't want to remove that printed circuit off the board.
