This is a bit of a continuation of the discussion over in the trading area related to getting built boards, but no cases and how to connect them up.

So far there's been talk of using 4port power boards and short extension leads for the outputs.
This is a detail piccie of the "standard" earthing connections in the complete kit from LOR:
And a wider shot of the box interior:
Notice that the earths(blue ring terminals on green/yellow wires) are all joined together on the strain relief.
Strain relief would be one of my concerns if putting one of these boards in a Masters case, but should be simply dealt with.
How I'd go about it:
- make a plywood mounting board to suit the Masters case(I have a template now) and mount the LOR board on it using standoffs
- drill out the large cable entries on the bottom of the case to 25mm
- fit a large bolt with the thread upwards through the mounting board, somewhere towards the bottom but not in the way of the cable entries. This will be the earthing point.
- attach the power inputs to the LOR board and cable tie to the mounting board for strain relief
- mount the mounting board into the case; the power inputs will go through the normal rubberised cable gland
- feed the power outputs through the entry holes we cut earlier and connect them up; eight cables per side, pretty much like the LOR box setup
- once everything is neat, get the biggest baddest bulkiest cable ties I have and use one or two around the power outputs on the inside of the box, to prevent the cables pulling back out
This should be fine as is, if the box is mounted upright, could use a bit of silicon to seal the hole or use a proper cable gland on the output cable holes(do this before putting the cables through).
Comms cables through the "normal" rubberised glands at the bottom of the case where the power inputs are.
Does this sound reasonable? Suggestions?
Cheers!
(Edit: you'd think I'd get the board name right.....duh!)
