My Mini-flood project with a kick using the 5050 smd led module and this wear I will also be adding the ACL LED Strobe. this photo is a test set-up

These are awesome!! I'm re-doing my mega-tree star and think something like this would be awesome configured in a little cluster suspended in the center. Then you could strobe and mix in pops of color.

Did you consider the 4 led square 5050?? I bought a ton of those since I figured they'd be slightly brighter than the 3 led square 5050.

Will you do a write up once you have a polished project?

Do you ever want to fire the centre strobe LED at the same time as the 5050 RGB LEDs ?

OK, I was thinking you might not need the strobe LED if you just flashed the RGB LEDs to white for the strobe look.
