I have a rgb dumb string and one of the lights is flickering red with all the remainder are white. White is the colour assigned. Obviously there is something wrong with the red one and I was wondering if there is a simple way to replace it.

Sounds like the solder joints on the LED or resistors inside are dodgy.

You can simply cut it out of the chain and splice the 4 wires (separately) where it came from / went to.

Try drying it out if it has rained recently as that may be causing your issue, also check that their is not a short on the wiring going into that pixel, otherwise just cut it out and either replace it or have a string with one light less.
