With DIY then you can make it as temporary as you need by just using cheap Bunnings plastic storage containers and for added protection just throw a tarp or some plastic sheeting over it. That's all I did in the past for my show for several years and it worked a treat

I used garbage cans from Walmart and added a bow to make it look like a Christmas present. Small bungee cords on the sides that attach to tent stakes. Position over controller for total waterproofing including the plugs. I have about 10 of these in my display

love that idea! Is that a cableguard 2000?

cheers
Yes, it's a 2000 and I also use 1500 and 1000 and 500. It's easy to detach the bungee attached to the tent stakes and lift up the garbage can. The mounting stakes on the controller box is 3/8" 3 sided aluminum stock.

Might add that using this method technically I wouldn't even need the CG boxes but the double protection is worth it.

Here's another idea. Since I use the garbage cans to hide the controller I decided to add Keystone Jack's to the CG boxes. I found that after awhile the ends of my Cat5 connectors were getting messed up. I added 2 different color Keystone jacks, green for in and orange for out. Now there's no need to open the box, disconnect the network cables and pull them through the CG hole possibly ruining the jack.

I use these for my boxes and RJ45 connectors, keeps the box weatherproof

I was looking at those originally but decided not too since I used the garbage cans.

they look nice Eddy... shame i cant justify getting that many...
That was the other reason I went with Keystone jacks. 20 jacks was 17.50 on ebay.

I've found with Ray you can order less than the amount shown. So if you are ordering other stuff from Ray I'm sure he'd let buy only 1 or 2 if that's what you need.

I went the plastic tubs way, but with the sun, an the summer hail storms, they ended up cracked..
PVC tubes worked great, but bugs also liked them
So i bit the bullet after yrs an went decent case's all round
